How are you applying your facial oils?

Facial oils and I go way back.

The first time I started using them was when I was in my early-to-mid 20s (very early in life, I know). I was a big supporter of the argan oil movement, and I've used everything from grape seed oil to avocado and apricot, and walnut oil. So it's pretty safe to say that I know a lot about these products, how they work on my skin verses other skin types, etc.

My go-to facial oil now in my mid-30s is pomegranate seed oil because it promotes firming, elasticity, and collagen-production while also being hydrating. Not to mention it's got loads of essential vitamins that brighten the skin, and has a natural SPF effect!

Buuuuut when I found this awesome Roasted Coffee Bean Oil from Vando Naturals, I was over the moon!

As pretty much everybody knows, drinking coffee is famous for waking you up, stimulating mental alertness, and just helping you start your day strong!

Coffee bean oil does all of that for your skin also! It brightens and evens your complexion, firms the skin, and stimulates a nice wakeful glow. Additionally, it also promotes elasticity and collagen production. Regardless of your age, I highly recommend getting this awesome facial oil now!

But having the right facial oil is only half of a proper skincare routine. The other half is knowing how to use it!

You see, there are 2 methods that people can apply facial oils...

Method 1 (the most popular method):

First: Wash your face with soap and water.

Second: Apply a few drops of facial oil to the skin and massage all over.

Third: Go about your day as normal.

Fourth: Wash the oil off face with soap and water.

Fifth: Apply moisturizer.

Now, there's nothing wrong with this method. But for busy people like me, who tend to do a lot inside and outside the house, my face tends to come in contact with a lot of things like hair, clothes, hands, other people's faces, and dirt/dust in the air (thus making my face look like a windshield).

Not to mention, if you usually wear makeup, the oil is not going to make you look very flattering...

Now, my method can be a little controversial. But I'm asking you to keep an open mind.

Basically what I am suggesting is using facial oils as a hydrating cleanser for a short period of time instead of an all-in-one hydrating solution for an extended amount of time.

Method 2:

First: Apply a few drops of facial oil directly to the skin, massaging all over (it's ok if your skin is sweaty or dirty - remember, we're cleansing it).

Second: After a few minutes, dab excess oil off your skin with a paper towel. Doing this will protect your pipes and septic system from clogging and oil build-up.

Third: Wash off oil with soap and water.

Fourth: Apply moisturizer.

And voila - now you've learned a new way to apply facial oils! Of course you always have a choice of which method you prefer - or you might even have your own way of applying oils. What matters is that you know what nourishes your skin, and Vando Naturals' Roasted Coffee Bean Oil is what will help you achieve that glowing and healthy look!

V's Varieties also carries Pomegranate Seed Facial Oil and Red Raspberry Seed Facial Oil from Vando Naturals. They both have the same firming, nourishing, and hydrating effects as the Roasted Coffee Bean Oil!
